Hello! My name isTameya Newell, I’m 34 years old. May 15, 2009 at the age of 25, I became a salon owner and licensed Cosmetologist by August 2009. Then my life took a left turn when my baby brother who cheered me on the most was killed at the age of 24. That moment I decided to start a business in his memory. March 3, 2011 I opened Nitty’s Salon 1. It started as my passion for doing hair.
May 2013 my talent and hobby for fashion began to draw attention from clients. Then GOD spoke to me through people telling me I needed to start a boutique. I started moving when I heard GOD speak! I then started Nitty’s Salon 1 and Retail a 1 STOP SHOP!!! With hair styling, barber cuts, eyelashes, Clothing, Accessories, Handbags, Shoes and More!!!! It has turned into Something I never imagined.
Not shortly after having a full house of stylist and a full inventory from the store I began to out grow my space. I prayed and ask GOD to let me hear Him clear when He say it’s time to step out. It then soon came to pass! On January 11, 2016 I Purchased my 1st building in cash 🙌🏽 Which you know now as NITTY’S SALON 1 & RETAIL @ 4294-4296 West Natural Bridge Ave St. Louis, MO 63115.
